Is the best reamer an Opinel?

Scraping the bowl of your pipe had never been that easy. Thanks to the rounded end of the blade of this Opinel made out of stainless steel, you will be able to perfectly scrape the excess of carbon that may accumulate after numerous pipe smokings. Unlike a pointy blade, this one will not damage the inside of the bowl of your pipe. Of course, it is still necessary to use it carefully and to gently scrape.

My first Opinel, the pipe reamer:

This Opinel can be used as a pocket knife. Indeed, the safety ring allows to keep the blade fixed in an open or closed position. You can also see the wooden handle (natural finish). This Opinel n°7 was initially made for children, but it appears that it is the ideal tool for pipe smokers!

To use this reamer, insert it in the bowl of your pipe, then turn it in a rotational movement in order to homogeneously scrape the carbon layer. We advise you to leave a thickness of 2mm (minimum), so that it will not disturb you when putting your tobacco in the bowl of your pipe, and in order for the briar to still be protected from the heat. After this cleaning, your pipe will find a second youth!
