Erik Nording is a key figure in the world of pipe. After being a blacksmith and then a specialized machine ingeneer, he completely changed fields in order to create his own firm and make the pipes he wanted. At this time, smoking pipe was a hobby to him. Nowadays, the Nørding firm has become a multigenerational family business, because he works with his son Knud Nording, his grandson Victor Nording, and even his daughter-in-law Margarita Nording. All work with passion in their workshop in Denmark, and you can actually feel it. The Nording pipes range is very varied because you can find the so-called freehand handmade pipes of great quality, as well as originals and cheap models combining briar and aluminium. Erik even appears on the Guiness book of World Records thanks to one of his non-standard creation he imagined in 1987: a 2 meters high pipe, of 53 kilos, that you can actually smoke!
