Each of his creations is absolutely unique. Nothing is fixed in advance, Tom Spanu prefers to let his imagination speak and to progressively build on the shape and the color of the materials he has. Today, he is considered one of the best independent craftsmen in the world thanks to the quality of his innovative pipe designs.

When briar and cork become one...

The Tom Spanu pipe presented here is made of briar and it has the particularity to be covered with cork! This external coating is something special. Indeed, cork is an excellent thermal insulator. In addition to providing a very original finish, cork guarantees a pipe that is extremely pleasant to hold in the hand. The combination of briar and cork required a long and delicate process from Tom Spanu. Of course, all this work is entirely handmade!

This straight shaped model is mounted with a clear acrylic stem. This stem is designed to accommodate 9 millimeter filters. The bowl is particularly deep, which means that you can enjoy your tobacco for a long time. As you can see on the pictures, this Tom Spanu pipe is arranged in a custom-made cork box, signed by the hand of the craftsman.
