The Spigot system, perfectly made by Peterson:
The Black Spigot 80s is a magnificent pipe made out of briar with a black finish. Made in the workshops of the famous Irish brand, you may have noticed that the bowl of this pipe is shallow compared to other pipes made by Peterson. Also with thicker walls, the bowl of this Spigot is therefore heatproof.
A silver band is present on the shank of this pipe in order to make it stronger, like the stem, that also includes a silver band. This system is indeed what makes a Spigot, that Peterson succeeds in doing everytime.
An interesting silhouette:
You will have probably noticed by the two lines carved all around the bowl, as well as its squared stem and shank, the Haïti silhouette of this pipe, also known as Bulldog.
Its bent shape and rounded bowl also make that pipe pleasant to be held in hand as well as in mouth.
The bands on the stem of these pipes can be different from one model to another.
